Daniel Rust

Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science with an emphasis on commercial aviation and business. He serves as the school’s chief flight instructor. 

Daniel is a commercial pilot with multi and single engine ratings, and holds an instructor’s certificate with instrument rating as well as a type rating in Cessna Citation jets. Daniel has logged over 3000 hours teaching students to fly, and taught in more than 20 different models of aircraft. He has also served as an instructor and pilot examiner at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he was awarded for his dedication to safety and high pass rates. 

 

Mitchell Caban

Mitchell studied mechanical engineering at University of Central Florida prior to earning his professional flight ratings. He is the assistant chief instructor at Florida Aviation.

A graduate of ATP flight academy, Mitchell holds Commercial single and multi engine ratings. He is also an instructor for single and multi engine airplanes as well as instrument flight. In his free time Mitchell enjoys traveling, visiting with his friends, and building computers.

 

Samantha Smith

Samantha began flying 2 years ago and has a goal to be a professional aviator in the future. In the meantime, she also serves as our office coordinator using her customer service skills to keep things running smoothly. 

Samantha accomplishes many tasks from handling student schedules to advertising, and everything in between! We are very fortunate to have her as part of the team.

 

 

Ryan Luca

Ryan began flying for fun at first, but liked it so much he decided to make a total career change! He enjoys teaching and says it is a way for him to share his passion of flight with others. 

Ryan graduated from American Flyers and earned his Commercial rating for single engine aircraft as well as a flight instructor rating. Ryan enjoys volunteering in the community and spending time with his family.

 

David Moss

David began flying in Tennessee once graduating high school when he decided he wanted to make a career out of it.

David moved to Florida to attend ATP flight school where he completed his commercial single and multi engine flight ratings. He later earned his Flight Instructor rating and began teaching with us. Besides flying David enjoys artwork, working on cars, and volunteering.
